That’s the question we asked shoppers in this week’s Summit Street Survey.

In these days of online marketplaces, like Amazon and Ebay, the internet shopper can access an almost unlimited range of products.

So in this week’s street survey we wanted to find out why people still make the trip to a department store.

Their favourite department stores were Debenhams, Selfridges, House of Fraser and John Lewis.
