Retail Buzz 001: Act on Christmas peak, Now!

Christmas peak is the most important time for retailers.

You should think of it as core to your annual marketing cycle, but definitely be aware that it starts VERY soon. If it hasn’t begun already.

Dave Trolle, Summit’s Head of Direct Response, says retailers be talking to suppliers, revisiting insight from 2012, looking at predictions from key industry bodies such as IMRG and eConsultancy and planing budgets to deliver optimal return.

He also says this is the year to really focus down on mobile – the way increasing numbers of people are starting to search for products and make purchases.

He advises retailers to plan ahead and really understand different customer behaviours from those groups.
