Time has flown by since January when we first introduced you to our new apprentice Jak, and welcomed him to his new team in true Summit style – lots of questions.

We thought it was a good idea to check back in with him, and find out just how much has changed in the last 3 months. Jak (whose cracking self portrait is on the left), is still working within the Affiliates team, and we had a chat about how he’s been getting on since he joined us.
How long have you been at Summit so far?
Just over 3 months đ
Previous answer: 2 weeks
What are you most looking forward to?
Iâm looking forward to further supporting different channels, such as PPC and SEO, with additional tasks which I am set to be starting soon. (There was also a mention of a party once things are safer đ)
Previous answer: Getting hands-on and supporting my team and the overall business.
Which teams have you worked with?
I am currently within the Affiliates team, but have done tasks for SEO, Content, and PPC.
What has been your biggest challenge so far?
It would have to be presenting the affiliate fundamentals deck to my team. Presenting isnât my strongest attribute, and even to my team, it wasnât easy for me.
Previous answer: There have been very few challenges as of yet, but If I had to state one, it would be my on-going google digital garage, as I note everything of value to me (Which is everything as I have little knowledge of digital marketing as of yet).
What has been your favourite moment so far?
This question is a lot harder than before. I have enjoyed everyday so far, my team is quality, and same goes for the people outside my team who I also communicate with. Itâs easy to enjoy work when my colleagues are so supportive and positive. Itâs difficult to pinpoint one specific moment, but Iâll have to say writing the piece of content for our first webinar of the new series. It was great to see everyone absolutely smash it!
Previous answer: I have enjoyed meeting everyone so far, but as a favourite moment, I would have to say the Christmas event from December. My first experience of a Summit event (sadly virtually), working as a team in an enjoyable atmosphere, whilst also winning âThe meatiest sandwichâ.
Have you had the chance to work on a project yet? If so, what has that been like?
I am currently working on a project for our biggest client Three, reviewing each and every affiliate on the platform, making sure all account information is correct, contacting them to understand their future plans on how they intend to work with Three, and removing those who no longer wish to work with us. It has been great to get hands on, communicating with affiliates and overall supporting our biggest client.
Previous answer: I havenât started working on a project as of yet, but I look forward to it in the near future.
Where have you pushed yourself out of your comfort zone?
Definitely the affiliate fundamentals presentation. I donât think anything else comeâs close if I have to be honest!
Previous answer: My first company meeting is one that comes to mind, as I had to introduce myself to everyone at Summit. For me, speaking to loads of people makes me really nervous, and despite it being digital, I still had a lot of nerves before my introduction.
Describe Summit in 3 words.
Absolutely Top Notch.
Previous answer: Absolutely Top Notch.
We’re very glad to see that Jak still thinks we’re Absolutely Top Notch… Much like last time, don’t forget to check back in with us in a few monthsâ time, when we will be seeing if the answer is still the same a third time..!
