Summit Polo Cup 2014

The Summit Polo Cup is the company’s annual summer party – the chance for staff, clients and partners to mark and celebrate the past 12 months of work.

It’s a party in two halves. The lunch and afternoon, a child-friendly family event, is spent enjoying exciting polo matches and a delicious picnic under a themed marquee.

The whole event is held in the grounds of the White Rose Polo Club, at Townend Farm, by North Cliffe, south of York.

The matches themselves attract polo fans from across England and further afield.

The second half of the event began in the early evening, after a 3-hour break, during which everyone changed into fancy dress.

The theme for 2014 was Treasure Island, but the fun didn’t stop at dressing up. A shipful of blasted pirates entertained the landlubbing guests with pirate-themed activities throughout the evening.

Watch the video to get the full flavour, but think horses, competition, great food, drinks and company, fancy dress, party games and walking the plank.
