Summit is celebrating having been shortlisted for not one, but two Northern Marketing Awards. Our work with Argos, using our predictive analytics-driven performance marketing platform, Forecaster, has seen us listed as finalists for Best Retail Campaign and Best Use of Research or Insight.
We are no strangers to the Northern Marketing Awards, having won the Best Retail Campaign Award in 2014 for helping Argos achieve a 170% YOY increase in margin. We were able to achieve this by using Forecaster to identify exactly where and when to spend marketing budget in order to achieve the greatest return. To build on last year’s record breaking performance we developed new facets of Forecaster which enabled us to react in real-time to external factors that influence buying behaviour, such as
weather conditions, television advertising and annual product seasonality. The work helped us to achieve a 45% YOY increase in revenue at a cost of sale 60% lower than our target.
The winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony at The Hilton, Manchester Deansgate, on Wednesday 21 October 2015.
Judged by marketing experts from leading agencies including The Fresh Group, The Art of New Business, MediaCom and Manchester United alongside a host of others, the awards aim to champion and celebrate the excellence, creativity and achievements of the marketing industry in the North of England.
We are up against competition including Asda, Interflora and Greggs across the two categories. Watch this space to see who takes home the trophies on the night.
