22nd October 2015 will see Summit competing against East Yorkshire’s leading digital professionals at the Hull Digital Awards. The Summit team has been shortlisted for the Best Ecommerce Award for our work with automotive retailer, Rockar, and the Best Digital Innovation Award for our work with retail giant, Argos.
Argos – syncing paid search with seasonality, weather and TV advertising
This is the third time in as many months we have been shortlisted for an award for our ground-breaking work with Argos. This acknowledgement comes alongside nominations in both the DADI Awards and Northern Marketing Awards. In 2014 we developed new facets of our predictive analytics-driven performance marketing platform, Forecaster, which enabled us to sync Argos’ paid search campaigns with annual seasonality, specific weather conditions and television advertising. As a result, we were able to generate a 45% year on year uplift in Argos’ paid search revenue.
Rockar – changing the way people buy cars
Summit and Rockar teamed up in 2014 with the aim of creating an online space that would allow people to buy a car online, completing the entire process in minutes. Rockar’s vision was to make car buying less intimidating and more efficient using eCommerce technology. The resulting online platform is a world first for the automotive industry, covering every aspect of buying a new car – researching, financing, evaluating, in-store or at home, with no obligation to talk to anyone.
Held at the newly opened C4DI centre and judged by local industry experts and entrepreneurs, the first Hull Digital Awards is set to showcase Hull and East Yorkshire as a hive of digital activity. We are thrilled to be at the forefront of the local digital industry and are looking forward to a night of celebrating talent in a city on the up.
