Outstanding affiliate campaign for Viking picks up award nomination

Summit are proud to have been shortlisted at the Performance Marketing Awards. The winners will be announced on 29th April.

After a hugely successful run of award wins and nominations in 2013 we have now received our first accolade of the New Year, being listed as a finalist in the Performance Marketing Awards.
Our entry, in conjunction with Tradedoubler, detailed our hugely successful affiliate program for Viking. Developed over the last 9 years, the affiliate strategy was adapted in 2011 in line with the Viking rebrand and to focus more on branding opportunities
across multiple channels.

Phenomenal results

Our affiliate program delivered outstanding results across 2013, exceeding the objectives set out at the beginning of the year and surpassing expectations. We were able to deliver a 18.7% year-on-year increase in revenue and a 9.7% increase in sales by embracing both B2B and B2C audiences and utilising the vouchercode functionality that Viking had been developing. This led to a fantastic result for a mature affiliate program known for traditional B2B campaigns. 

The Performance Marketing Awards

The PMAs have been running for 7 years, and aim to celebrate and reward success and innovation in performance marketing. The Industry-led Performance Marketing Campaign category looks specifically at campaigns which are agency-led and devised, created and delivered either completely internally or through a collaboration of parties. Since 2004 Summit have worked closely with Tradedoubler to provide Viking with a bespoke digital marketing solution to maintain and build new connections via their public affiliate programme. Cultivating our relationship with Tradedoubler has allowed us to generate the above results, which have been recognised alongside 7 other finalists for this award. The ceremony takes place on 29th April 2014.
