London office at Garrick street

Summit opened its new London office in September 2011, in one of the city's busiest retail districts: Covent Garden. Home to a mix of permanent and visiting staff with responsibility for business development and client liaison, the Garrick Street premises bring Summit closer to a host of existing – and potential – clients.

Summit employees based in Yorkshire and Prague now have a permanent meeting place available in the UK capital. This also makes it more convenient and easier for many clients, suppliers and partners to deal with the company. What’s more, as Summit’s continental client-base continues to grow, the London office offers quicker access to the major European cities.

Client reaction to the new office has been positive, especially from those with London headquarters and/or flagship stores who prefer their agency partners to be nearby. Partners such as Google, Yahoo! and Microsoft have also welcomed the opportunity to forge closer links with Summit.

Another important rationale for having a London base is that it gives Summit greater access to a wider pool of talent. The company’s policy is to recruit and retain the best possible candidates. Having a presence in the south east of England – as well as in East Yorkshire – means that the net is cast wider, supporting Summit’s ambitious growth plans for the coming years.

While Summit now has a permanent London presence, it’s also true that the company’s headquarters will remain in Yorkshire. However, the existing base at Townend Farm will turn into the company’s training centre – for staff and clients – when a purpose-built complex becomes the new HQ in January 2012.
