What were you doing before joining Summit?

I was studying Business and ICT at Sheffield Hallam University. As part of my degree I had the opportunity to run a small business and through this gained experience in search engine marketing.

Why did you decide to join Summit?

As I already had experience in this market sector I became aware of Summit's reputation and felt it was an excellent opportunity to become a highly skilled search engine marketer, working for a company with the experience and knowledge to give me ample training and support.

What are you working on at the moment?

I'm currently working on a number of PPC accounts including Mobiles.co.uk, Which? Mobile and The Regatta Group, this includes setting-up new campaigns managing keyword placements and creative design. The current focus of my work is to reduce costs whilst maintaining a high level of sales thereby providing a good ROI.

What has been the most rewarding part of your Summit experience?

I have been able to work on varied projects and learn to operate across a number of different channels. With such a varied workload no two days are the same and I am given the freedom to manage my own accounts. The most rewarding part is when I prepare and implement a plan to reduce spend or increase sales and achieve my goal.

How have you developed personally since joining Summit?

I have improved my timekeeping and my organisational skills; I’ve also furthered my understanding of business to client communication. I’m more confident as a result of the freedom I am given and am comfortable making important account management decisions.

Is working at Summit what you first thought it would be like?

No, the atmosphere is very laid back with friendly co-workers and a unique working environment. We’re given a lot of freedom to manage our accounts but given plenty of support when required. We are set achievable targets to deliver and can communicate freely with clients in order to meet their needs.
