Communications Manager

We are looking for a Communications Manager to join Summit’s expanding Business Development team. The ideal candidate will be an English, linguistics or PR graduate and will be responsible for influencing and initiating innovation in the production of Summit's external communications, liaising with key trade bodies and media relations. They will be the guardian of the brand and brand language.

Responsibilities will include:

• To write:
  • white papers, newsletters and other communications
  • collateral & case studies
  • social media articles
  • research findings reports
  • awards entries
  • blogs (training & production)
  • press releases (production & distribution)
• To Manage:
  • Marketing Coordinator
  • relationship with PR firm
  • media & trade body relations
  • internal communications
  • and liaise with video production
  • budgets

The successful candidate is likely to have 12 – 18 months experience in PR/Content or Marketing, be persistent, persuasive and authoritative, able to present to senior staff, clients, partners and media and have the ability to work autonomously. As a Generation Y writer, they will be completely comfortable with digital media and passionate about digital marketing and retail.

They will also possess the following skills and experience:

• Excellent presentation skills
• Meticulous writing skills
• The ability to quickly interpret large amounts of technical information

Salary £25k - £28k
