Marion Aylott - Director and Co-founder

Marion co-founded Summit Media in 1995

Marion Aylott, Director, co-founded the award winning group of companies in 1995. She was formerly Head of Finance and Human Resources.

Marion’s background and experience in senior management in education has helped to establish Summit Media as a commercially viable, self-supporting company. Her personal commitment to education and equality, and providing a work environment that allows people to flourish is reflected in Summit’s growth and position today.

As college head of department responsible for the delivery of education and training at Norwich Prison, Marion developed innovative learning schemes to give prison inmates the skills necessary to seek employment upon release. Her experience informed Summit’s own innovative approach to recruiting and working with highly motivated inmate employees from all over the UK.

Marion has a Masters degree in Applied Educational Research and Curriculum Development, and considerable in-service management training experience. She participated in a working exchange to the USA, resulting in a consultancy for an American company tendering to run private prisons in the UK. She has also served in an advisory capacity on Home Office working groups.

Marion has produced a number of Summit Arts projects and two successful rock operas. She is also an intrepid traveller, and particularly enjoys sunshine, water sports and family holidays.
