Marion Aylott - Head of Finance & Human Resources
Marion Aylott co-founded Summit Media in 1995 and is now head of finance and human resources for the Summit group of companies. She has a professional background in senior management in education, latterly as college head of department responsible for the delivery of education and training at Norwich Prison. This role required staff and budget management, as well as the development and implementation of innovative schemes that gave prison inmates learning and skills opportunities appropriate to employment upon release. Marion’s experience has done much to inform how Summit has recruited and worked with Summit’s inmate employees.
Marion has a Masters degree in Applied Educational Research and Curriculum Development, and considerable in-service management training experience. She had a working exchange to the USA resulting in a consultancy for an American company tendering to run private UK prisons and has served on Home Office working groups.
Having produced two rock operas and other Summit Arts activities, Marion helped establish Summit Media as a commercially viable, totally self-supporting company, recruiting highly-motivated inmates from all over the UK. The growth of Summit to its position today reflects the continuing commitment of its founders and staff.
An intrepid traveller, Marion particularly enjoys sunshine, water sports and family holidays.
